Community Guidelines
Kids & Family FUN is built to help families share useful, trustworthy and respectful information about places, events, activities and family experiences. These guidelines explain what we expect from everyone who contributes to the community.
Last updated: September 7, 20261. Our Community
Kids & Family FUN is designed to help families discover places, events, activities, birthday party options and other family-friendly experiences.
Community contributions can make the platform more useful by adding firsthand experiences, correcting outdated information and helping other families know what to expect.
A good contribution is useful, truthful and specific. Share information that another parent could reasonably use to make a better decision.
2. Be Honest and Accurate
Contributions should be based on genuine experiences, reliable information or observations you reasonably believe to be accurate.
Please do not:
- invent experiences that did not happen;
- submit fake reviews or ratings;
- knowingly provide false place, event or pricing information;
- misrepresent yourself or your relationship to a business;
- submit misleading information to manipulate search results or ratings.
If you are unsure about a fact, make that clear rather than presenting uncertain information as confirmed.
3. Be Respectful
It is okay to describe a bad experience. It is not okay to attack, threaten or harass people.
Focus reviews and comments on the experience, service, facility, activity or information that is relevant to families.
Please avoid:
- personal insults;
- threats or intimidation;
- harassment;
- hate speech;
- humiliating or degrading comments;
- unrelated personal disputes;
- publishing private information to retaliate against someone.
4. Protect Other People’s Privacy
Do not post private or sensitive information about another person without appropriate permission.
This includes information such as:
- home addresses;
- private phone numbers;
- private email addresses;
- medical information;
- school schedules;
- private family plans;
- information that could reveal a child’s regular location or routine;
- other sensitive personal information.
Public business contact information, such as an official business phone number or website, is generally different from private personal information.
5. Protect Children
Protecting children’s privacy is especially important on Kids & Family FUN.
Do not post unnecessary identifying information about children. Avoid names, school details, home addresses, schedules or other information that could create an unnecessary privacy or safety risk.
Do not use Kids & Family FUN to exploit, threaten, sexualize, harass or endanger a child.
Content that creates a serious child-safety concern may be removed immediately and may lead to account restrictions or other appropriate action.
6. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews should reflect a genuine experience with the place, business, event or activity being reviewed.
Useful reviews
Helpful reviews may include information such as:
- what your family experienced;
- what ages the activity seemed suitable for;
- cleanliness;
- staff experience;
- parking;
- shade;
- restrooms;
- accessibility;
- crowds or wait times;
- value for the price;
- anything another family should know before visiting.
Do not manipulate ratings
You may not:
- create fake accounts to submit reviews;
- coordinate fake positive or negative reviews;
- review a place you have never meaningfully experienced as if you had;
- offer or accept undisclosed compensation for a particular rating;
- threaten a business with a negative review to obtain money, refunds or special treatment.
Negative reviews are allowed
A review will not be removed simply because it is critical or because a business disagrees with it.
Reviews may still be moderated if they violate these Guidelines, contain private information, are fraudulent, abusive or otherwise violate our rules.
7. Photos
Photos should help families understand a place, activity, event or experience.
You should upload only photos you have the right to share.
Photos of children
Do not upload identifiable photos of another person’s child unless you have appropriate permission.
Even when you have permission, avoid posting images that reveal unnecessary sensitive information, such as a child’s school, home address, name badge or private schedule.
Photos may be removed if they:
- violate privacy;
- infringe copyright;
- contain inappropriate or unsafe content;
- are spam or unrelated to the listing;
- are intentionally misleading;
- create a child-safety concern;
- otherwise violate these Guidelines.
8. Adding Places and Suggesting Changes
Users may be able to submit new family-friendly places or suggest corrections to existing listings.
Add a Place
Use Add a Place when a real place is not yet listed on Kids & Family FUN.
Please check for an existing listing before creating a new one.
New submissions may be reviewed before they appear publicly.
Suggest a Change
Use Suggest a Change when a place already exists but some information is incomplete or incorrect.
Examples include:
- incorrect hours;
- wrong address;
- new amenities;
- incorrect age information;
- changed website;
- accessibility updates;
- place permanently closed;
- other factual corrections.
Whenever possible, provide enough information for moderators to verify the correction.
9. Events
Event submissions should describe real events that are relevant to families and should include accurate dates, times and locations whenever known.
Recurring events should use recurrence information rather than being intentionally duplicated as many separate listings where the platform supports recurring events.
Please do not:
- submit fake events;
- misrepresent a commercial promotion as an independent community event;
- submit duplicate events repeatedly;
- knowingly leave cancelled events listed as active;
- misrepresent prices or registration requirements.
Organizers and contributors should update or report cancellations, rescheduling and major changes when possible.
10. Birthday Party Information and Reviews
Birthday Party information can include packages, prices, guest limits, food, decorations, activities and other party-specific details.
When reporting pricing, distinguish between:
- official advertised prices;
- estimated totals;
- the actual amount you personally paid.
A parent’s reported final cost should not be presented as the venue’s current official price unless it has been independently verified as such.
Host / Organizer reviews
If you say that you hosted or organized a party, your review should be based on a party you actually organized or paid for.
Guest reviews
If you attended as a guest, do not claim personal knowledge of booking, deposit, final invoice or organizer communication unless you actually had that information.
11. Businesses and Business Representatives
Businesses are welcome to provide accurate information about their own listings and respond respectfully to community feedback.
Business representatives must not impersonate customers or create fake consumer reviews.
A business may report a review that violates these Guidelines, but may not demand removal merely because the review is negative.
Business responses should not expose a reviewer’s private information or retaliate against a customer.
Business claims
Only authorized representatives should claim or manage a business listing.
Providing false verification information may result in rejection or revocation of business access.
12. Conflicts of Interest
Transparency helps families understand the context of a contribution.
Do not present promotional or personally interested content as an independent customer opinion.
A conflict of interest may exist if you:
- own the business;
- work for the business;
- are paid by the business;
- have a close personal relationship with the owner;
- are a direct competitor;
- received something of value in exchange for the contribution.
Where relevant, disclose the relationship rather than hiding it.
Kids & Family FUN may restrict some types of reviews from people with direct conflicts of interest.
13. Prohibited Content and Behavior
The following are not allowed:
- fake reviews, ratings or identities;
- fraudulent business claims;
- spam;
- harassment or threats;
- hate speech;
- sexual exploitation or endangerment of children;
- private or sensitive information posted without authorization;
- malicious links or software;
- copyright infringement;
- impersonation;
- coordinated rating manipulation;
- deceptive advertising presented as a community contribution;
- content primarily intended to disrupt the platform;
- other unlawful or seriously harmful content.
14. Reporting Problems
Users may be able to report content or information that appears incorrect, unsafe, fraudulent, abusive or otherwise problematic.
Reports may include:
- incorrect listing information;
- permanently closed places;
- duplicate listings;
- fake reviews;
- spam;
- inappropriate photos;
- privacy concerns;
- child-safety concerns;
- incorrect event details;
- incorrect birthday party pricing;
- fraudulent business claims.
Reporting content does not automatically mean the content will be removed. Reports may be reviewed according to context and available evidence.
Do not misuse reporting tools simply because you disagree with another person’s opinion.
15. Moderation and Enforcement
Kids & Family FUN may review contributions before or after publication.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- approve content;
- reject content;
- request more information;
- edit factual or formatting elements where appropriate;
- remove content;
- limit visibility;
- merge duplicate listings;
- mark information as unverified or lower-confidence;
- warn a user;
- restrict certain features;
- suspend or terminate an account;
- revoke a business claim;
- take other reasonable action needed to protect the platform and its users.
Moderation decisions may consider the content itself, context, account history, available evidence, source reliability and potential safety or privacy concerns.
16. Trusted and Verified Contributors
Kids & Family FUN may recognize users who consistently make accurate and useful contributions.
Trust may be influenced by factors such as:
- helpful reviews;
- accurate corrections;
- useful photos;
- verified firsthand information;
- accepted contributions;
- responsible use of reporting tools.
Trusted status may result in faster moderation or additional contribution tools.
Trusted or verified contributors remain subject to these Guidelines, moderation and safety rules. Trust status does not give a user the right to override official information or publish harmful content.
17. Questions About Moderation Decisions
If you believe a contribution was incorrectly rejected, removed or restricted, you may contact Kids & Family FUN and provide relevant context.
We may review the decision but cannot guarantee that every moderation decision will be reversed.
Repeatedly submitting the same prohibited content after a moderation decision may lead to additional restrictions.
18. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as Kids & Family FUN grows, new community features are introduced or new safety and moderation needs arise.
When we update the Guidelines, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
