About this place The Venice Fishing Pier is a 700-foot City of Venice pier on the south end of the island, popular for fishing and sunsets. Admission is free and no fishing license is needed. A bait shop is midway along the pier, and nearby are picnic shelters, sand volleyball courts, restrooms, a pavilion and a restaurant. Dogs and bicycles are not allowed on the pier.
