Siesta Beach is Sarasota County's best-known Gulf beach, with nearly pure quartz sand that stays cool underfoot. A 2016 renovation added a playground, two concession stands, more restrooms, a half-mile esplanade and many shelters and pavilions. The park has about 950 free parking spaces, the most of any public beach in the county.
