Safari Wilderness Ranch near Lakeland offers guided tours in safari vehicles through a 260-acre preserve with herds of exotic animals such as scimitar-horned oryx, waterbuck, zebras, camels and ostriches. Hands-on encounters like lemur and budgie feeding are offered on a limited schedule, and reservations are required. It is a working ranch, not a zoo.
