The Polk County History Center occupies the restored 1908 Polk County Courthouse in Bartow, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its galleries cover early settlement, pioneer life, industries, local arts and military history, with hands-on spaces, historic courtrooms, a children's gallery and rotating exhibitions. The county runs educational programs, tours and family events such as the Festival of Wreaths.
