About this place

Myakka River State Park is a Florida state park along the Myakka River and Upper Myakka Lake east of Sarasota. Families can climb the canopy walkway and tower for views over the treetops and prairie, take a boat or tram wildlife tour, or drive the 7-mile scenic road. There are many miles of hiking trails, a bike loop, bike and canoe rentals at the Myakka Outpost, and campgrounds. Trails can flood in the rainy season.
