Laurel Park and the Sandra Sims Terry Community Center form a Sarasota County recreation site in Nokomis. The community center has a gymnasium and indoor rental space. Outside are a playground, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, sand volleyball, a multi-purpose field, outdoor fitness equipment, a community garden, picnic shelters with grills and a paved trail. Surrey rides are also offered here.
