Jeanie and Pete Johnson Nature Preserve is an 85-acre county preserve in Gibsonton. Part of it is a restored former fish farm, now freshwater ponds, marsh and forested wetlands, and old pine plantations are being returned to native flatwoods. A one-mile hiking trail offers good bird watching, and leashed pets are allowed. Run by Hillsborough County.
