About this place At over 21,000 acres, Duette Preserve is the largest preserve in Manatee County and holds the headwaters of the Manatee River. Its pine flatwoods, scrub, swamps and prairie are home to many animals, including protected species. Visitors can walk the trails, fish, picnic, camp and use observation towers and wildlife viewing areas.
