About this place

The Woodson African American Museum of Florida, formerly the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum, is in the Jordan Park area of St. Petersburg in a building that once served the city's first public housing community for African Americans. It preserves and interprets African American history in Florida, shows art by African American artists, and uses its Legacy Garden for outdoor programs.
