About this place

Beker-South Fork, also called South Fork State Park, is a day-use natural area about 11 miles east of Parrish, managed through Lake Manatee State Park. The South Fork of the Little Manatee River runs through bottomland forest, with scrub and flatwoods on higher ground where gopher tortoises and Florida scrub-jays live. Reaching much of the land takes a lot of walking.
